The literal translation of the title of this film is: Escapee.
This film gave a balanced view on those who committed crimes: it first gives a sympathetic view by giving the credit to their efforts of trying to go straight, but it also points out that although contributing to the society by giving the money back cannot be used as an excuse because the newly accomplished good deeds cannot mitigate the past crime committed, which are still subject to punishment.
