There is just a little about revolution
zzmale5 April 2004
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Five tigers ventures into Celestial bridge.

This movie paints an accurate depiction of the flaw of Dr. Yat-Sen Sun's revolution: Dr. Sun's military force for the revolution depended either on warlords, or in the other case, gangsters, accurately depicted here in this movie. This is why China was still in turmoil and chaos after Dr. Sun's revolution had successfully overthrown the Qing Dynasty.

Besides this accurate portray of history, there is absolutely nothing else about revolution. Gangsters only use the revolution as an excuse to fight each other and that is exactly what this movie is about.
