A two part offering rather commercial in plot, but has the advantage of being effectively put together. Having the district attorney in love with the daughter of the gambler whom it is his duty to prosecute, is a bit trite; but the fact that it develops just this one situation and tires for no sensational thrills is in its favor. The acting is fair as are the staging and photography. - The Moving Picture World, April 4, 1914
