Kitty Mulligan, Mr. Logan's fiancée, names Friday, the 13th, as her wedding day. On this day the landlady of the boarding house at which Logan is staying, volunteers to buy him a new tie, if he will mind the baby. On her way to the store she meets with an accident, which causes a delay. In the meantime, Logan, who has become impatient, rushes out to a haberdasher's and leaves the baby and carriage outside. It starts to roll down to the curb, where it is picked up by a policeman, who takes it to the department caring tor lost children. Logan, learning the whereabouts of the carriage, starts immediately to the place, and in his hurry, takes a perambulator containing a negro baby. He hurries to his boarding house, gives the landlady the carriage and runs as fast as he can to his fiancée's home, only to find her in hysterics on account of him being late.
