Now, when you see a Mexican movie, it's not very good sometimes. This is worse with a Christian Mexican movie. The acting sucks, the dialogs sound too forced and unrealistic, the visual quality is terrible, and other things, like music, photography or technical issues are too generic or amateur work. However, this film does contain a very good message, quite bold and forward, like no other. Abortion is a sensitive subject, and the movie deals with it in a very interesting way. The storyline follows two separate women, from different social classes, both facing the problem of pregnancy at a very young age. One of the girls is from the low places in Mexico City, having her boyfriend treating her like garbage, and then knocking her up. Something similar happens to another girl, who sleeps with her boyfriend without any protection or conscience. So, oh surprise, both of them are pregnant. However, it should be noted that the girl from the lower economic level has the baby and takes care of him even when she herself has almost no resources, while the rich girl decides to get an abortion, considering the fact she has more than enough to raise the child. So, in the end, we can learn that having an abortion because someone was too careless to have safe sex or wait for a while until he or she was ready is just a stupid pointless action just to avoid yourself from the responsibilities. Great message, it has Paco Del Toro's trademarks, that being forced dialogs, bad acting and semi-emotional scenes. But it's worth watching.
