Anachronisms 

The movie is set in 1999, but there is a child wearing a G-Unit pullover in the initial police lock-down scene. G-Unit did not come into being until 2003.

Continuity 

When Lorenzo and Brenda are in the car driving through the crowd, in the long shot the windows are half-way down, and in the close shots the windows are all the way up.

Revealing mistakes 

The scenes at the Freedomland facility appear to be in late fall/winter - trees are bare, subjects are wearing heavy clothing. When Lorenzo interviews Brenda, he states on the tape recorder the date of the interview is May.

Continuity 

When Brenda is telling Lorenzo about how her son died, she puts her hands to her face. The band aids are short and worn but in the next shot her wrappings are brand new and come up to her knuckles.

The scene where Lorenzo and Brenda are over the grave of her son discussing if she built it or not, her hair frequently changes between being over her ear and tucked behind it between shots.
