Claims to be the first democratically chosen movie. After the great success of Manitou's Shoe'Michael "Bully" Herbig' let the viewers of his TV-show Bullyparade decide which subject his next movie should have. The viewers could choose between "Der Schuh des Manitu 2", "Sissi - Wechseljahre einer Kaiserin" (later made as Lissi und der wilde Kaiser), "Ein Film, wo keiner mit rechnet" and "(T)Raumschiff Suprise".

The title song "Space Taxi" and almost all other songs are written by Stefan Raab, host of TV total and comedian who has also had several chart hits in Germany.

The "Flight Level Indicator" of Rock Fertig-Aus' Taxi is simply the case of a Tektronix 564B storage oscilloscope. The type name is still written on it. Some of the switches Rock changes during the chase scene are those for the seat heatings (he changes them to "cold").

Mr. Spuck says that he sold the recipe of "Käsesahne" to McDonalds. When this movie opened in cinemas German McDonalds' sold "Käsesahne" for real and other items related to the movie.
