Jimmy Fallon busted out his funny-yet-creepy Lip Flip routine again with "Tonight Show" guest and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star Whoopi Goldberg, where the pair swapped mouths and interviewed each other posing as the other (including some hilarious attempts at various accents for both parties). The clip culminated in a rendition of the Aretha Franklin and George Michael duet "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)," complete with a semi-horrifying split screen shot of the two digitally altered comedians.

"Frozen" star Josh Gad also stopped by "The Tonight Show" to promote his new movie, the Zach Braff-directed "Wish I Was Here," but the animated Disney hit dominated the conversation. Kaitlin Doubleday Joins Fox Drama Pilot ‘Empire’; Regina Hall In FX’s ‘Married’

Fox’s Empire has rounded out its cast with the signing of Kaitlin Doubleday (Catch Me If You Can) as a series regular. The hip-hop industry drama pilot from Lee Daniels, Danny Strong and Brian Grazer centers on Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), a charismatic, savvy music superstar who is about to take his company, Empire Entertainment, public. Doubleday will play Rhonda, the wife of Lucious’ oldest son Andre (Trai Byers), a sexy, manipulative woman who shares Andre’s Ivy League background and intends to help him scrap his way to the head of Empire. 'Star Trek'-inspired 'Redshirts' setting course for FX

(Cbr) FX will expand its lineup with an adaptation of "Redshirts", the comedic sci-fi novel by author John Scalzi. The book, which tackles tropes from the original Star Trek series, follows the adventures of "Intrepid" ensign Andrew Dahl, who quickly realizes he and his ilk are basically cannon fodder. The novel gets meta from there, as Dahl and company discover they’re actually characters on a TV show. The novel won a Hugo Award in 2013. Deadline reports the series will be produced by Jon Shestack ("Waiting…", "Disturbing Behavior"), Ken Kwapis ("The Office", "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants") and Alexandra Beattie ("Outsourced"). »
