Sex & Nudity

There is one romantic moment between Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

There is a discussion between a man and a woman about how she "can't write a damn about sex."

Violence & Gore

A bank robber uses a gatling gun to shoot a series of cops/cars from on top of a building. It doesn't show anyone dying but you can assume many of the cops died. The man is soon shot by two security guards but he is unharmed because of the bulletproof vest he is wearing, the man starts shooting at the two security guards but Superman stands in the way.

One of Luther's goons starts beating up Lois, the son throws a piano at him and kills him.

Lex Luther and his men kick and punch Superman who has been made sick and weak from Kryptonite poisoning. He is then stabbed in the back with a kryptonite shard. Superman later falls from a great distance after a battle.

As the land made from the crystals starts to fall, a huge piece of the land falls on the three goons, killing them.

2 or 3 uses of Hell and Damn.

1 uncompleted "Holy Sh--"

A man smokes a cigarette once.

A woman tries to smoke, but is cut off. The same woman is seen with cigarettes falling out of her purse.

There is a sequence where an airplane full of people are in peril because of a malfunction, many people are in peril and Lois is thrown around the airplane. (the scene is very intense)

There is a scene where a woman in a car is driving recklessly through the town is in peril because her breaks are not working. Many people are very near being hurt or ran over by the car. Just when she is about to run over a group of people, Superman comes and picks up her car.

In another sequence there is an earthquake happening on land, many people are seen in peril and the scene can be very intense for some viewers. (everything included in the spoilers are listed to show exactly what happens during the sequence, don't read it if you want to ruin the movie for yourself) A man falls off a construction crane on top of a building but Superman catches him. A sign starts falling on a group of cars full of people but Superman catches it. A man drops a cigarette in a pothole, a gas pipe breaks and it causes an explosion underground throughout the city, Superman stops the fire before it hits the main gas building. A group of people are seen in a building during the earthquake and are seen in peril as everything falls and shakes. The globe on top of the building falls towards a group of people but Superman catches it.

One scene as Lois, her son and her husband trapped in a flood room in a ship that is sinking and the husband is struggling to keep them afloat while desperately trying to open the door although there is little chance of making it to surface if he could. However, Superman arrives to rescue them as he pulls the ship above the surface.

The scene where Luther and his men are beating up Superman is pretty intense.
