The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Death Stalking.
Like most Chinese crime movie, the movie is based on the true story that really happened in real life. What was real in real life was different groups of artifacts smugglers had clashes with each other over the stolen artifacts.
However, the movie failed to provide any long term solution despite its criticism of such crime: there are huge profits in smuggling artifacts and no other jobs offer equal pay, and people are therefore tempted to risk their lives to commit such crimes.
