When it rains, it pours..., 15 April 2004
Author: camachoborracho from Los Angeles, CA

I found this film and at 15 minutes it ain't too bad. It was never really one of Stephen King's short stories I really liked, but I credit the writer and director of this short for getting the feel down.It is sort of a stupid premise I admit, but they did what they could with the material so I give everyone involved credit for that.

Of course, there are some things that could have been better, mainly the main couple's acting skills, they really detracted from the film. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was done well because the film was extremely well shot for a short and the old people were good actors.

At first I thought the car driving through the border creating the ripple effect was cheesy and needless, yet it made sense when the characters explain that Willow is the only town with the toads. The special effects for the toads were a bit cheesy, but it's a short and plus it's supposed to be tongue in cheek. I had fun watching this needless to say.

Final decision: Just as good as the story (for what that's worth).
