Something that challenges the traditional Confucian teaching
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Do you love me?
This movie is about something that challenges the traditional Confucian teaching, one of its emphasis is on the family. However, such emphasis goes to extreme in that traditional Confucian teaching advocating the sacrifice of personal liberty and happiness in order to keep the harmony of the family, and one of the result is that you don't fall in love with somebody that your sibling had dumped, because this would be awkward for the family relationships.
Knowing this part of the strict traditional Confucian teaching, one would really appreciate the message this movie brings: personal liberty and happiness, don't be afraid to seek them.
