Goofs

In the scene in which Eloise is playing a piano duet with the Plaza's pianist, it can clearly be seen that they are playing a Young Chang piano. However, the Young Chang piano company was not even founded - in South Korea - until 1956. The odds of the Plaza using a Young Chang at the time this movie is set seem extraordinarily low. What were they thinking!
11 May 2003 | by See all my reviews

As a lover of the original Eloise books I can honestly say that making a movie out of it was a huge mistake. The charm of the Eloise books is her unique imagination but also the fact that she spends he time alone and bored in a big hotel. The addition of the extra characters completely ruined the entire book and it seems foolish that the amazing Eloise books are associated with this movie.
