Literal translation of the title: Dr. Bethune
26 November 2003 | by See all my reviews

Biographical account of the great Canadian internationalist Dr. Norman Bethune's life in China. One of many westerners who came to China in assisting Japanese aggression and fighting fascists. What the movie forgot to tell was him giving up the comfortable lives as a wealthy doctor in Canada, and choose to goto the front line, not just in the rear area.
