Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

This movie is rated PG for crude humor for a reason, crude humor is very present throughout the film from beginning to end.

Two characters throughout the movie expose their anatomically correct bare backsides and one holds a flag

between his "buns" in that scene. He later asks a character "did you see my butt?".

Some other mildly suggestive scenes are present such as when a villain looks at his "evil plan folder" as a

centerfold model. He makes goo goo eyes at it and drools on it too.

Another mildly suggestive scene that's present is near the end, a character dances in stripper boots and

leggings. It's meant to be funny but might gather some questions up from the younger ones.

Viewers see characters run in their under wear also.

Violence & Gore

Two fishes' lips get ripped off.

There is a fight scene between Dennis and Spongebob while riding on David Hasselhoff. And a tiny knife is plunged into david hasselhoffs rear-end.

Dennis comes to the bar and sees all the men standing outside. The men threaten to beat him up and Dennis punches one of them and falls down and breaks the bar.

There is a brief shot of a unmoving body in a bar.

Dennis threatens to step on Spongebob and Patrick with a spiked boot.

Dennis is stepped on by a giant boot.

Spongebob points out that some sea creatures they see are dead.

The Cyclops is beaten up by many sea creatures.

Hasselhof gets accidentally burned. This scene is very brief and used for comedy.

Plankton is stepped on a couple of times. We hear a squishing sound.

Some mild name calling:

King Neptune says that "one d*mning piece of evidence" was left behind.

At one point one brief use of "freaking" is used at the "Goofy Goober Rock" scene.

One scene takes place in a bar, and some fish are shown drunk.

SpongeBob and Patrick are shown "drunk" after eating lots of ice cream. This is played for laughs.

Dennis could be frightening to children.

The Cyclops could be frightening to children.

The whole scene where Patrick and Spongebob are in the fish bowl and drying out to be made into nick-nacks can be pretty frightening and emotional.

Suggested MPAA Rating update: PG for brief mild language and some crude and suggestive humor
