- Eddie is released from jail, charged with being a speeder, and the sergeant threatens to give him six months if it happens again. Eddie is given a dollar. It falls from his hands and rolls into the midst of a crap game. Cops raid and Eddie escapes, only to think that every cop he passes is looking for him. Panic-stricken, he climbs the side of a building, even though the cops are almost totally oblivious of his existence. He enters, but does not disturb a yegg who is opening a safe. When the safe is finally opened, a cop steps out. Eddie is then the storm center of a terrific running battle. The cops walk all over him, and when he hides in a piano, he is roughly treated by the yegg. Crawling out, a dozen cops light on his dome. When he comes to, he finds himself on the sidewalk, in a cop's uniform, a dozen sizes too large for him. He leads a riot squad towards a gang fight. Arriving first, the tough gangs knock him for a row of dodoes, and then remove his buttons. When he comes out of his daze, he gets a slapstick and licks them all. Then he piles them into a taxi and takes them to jail. He also is locked up, charged with impersonating an officer. The sergeant's daughter pleads in vain until another cop announces that Eddie is a hero. Then he wins the fair gal.—Universal Weekly, September 12, 1925
