The literal translation of the title of this film is: Opening up the Heaven and Earth.
The progress made in this movie includes that protagonists such as Mao Zedong and other Chinese communist party founders were portrayed as people, instead of being eulogized as gods like typical Chinese movies, but this could not make up for its problem:
The main problem is that many of the founders of the Chinese communist party later betrayed their believe and defected to the enemy's side, and for these early founders, the movie did not emphasize their contributions enough, and such avoidance is willful. As a result, the movie did not tell the complete story like it should.
