The Hillz is a surreal look at four teenage boys coming of age. This slice-of-life comedic drama is set in an affluent neighborhood of present-day America. The story chronicles these teenagers' pursuit of respect, friends, girls, and the almighty dollar (aka status). After a year away at college, our hero, Steve returns home to find his friends haven't changed, but his old neighborhood is remarkably different. A stellar athlete, Steve is on a high from recently winning the College World Series. He's got his future and he knows it: girls, money and a sure top-ten pick in the Major League draft. The only thing missing is the only thing he can't have: the gorgeous Heather Smith. On a mission to win Heather over, Steve finds himself up against Heather's seemingly perfect boyfriend, Todd. To make matters worse, Steve discovers his beautiful suburban hills have been turned into an ultra-violent drug zone, controlled by his own high school friends. The ruthless gang is led by the sadistic ... Written by anonymous

The shirt and blue bracelet that Jesse Woodrow's character wears through much of the movie is for the now broken up Los Angeles band, Deadsy. In the commentary, Woodrow and others involved in the movie state this was because they were freinds and/or fans of the band. Also Paris Hilton made some headlines around the early 2000's for at one point having a very brief relationship with the band's lead singer, Elijah Blue Allman (son of Cher and Gregg Allman). Abortion on film.
2 January 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A bunch of untalented actors got together and shot the worst movie ever. i was only watching this because the whole 'white suburban rich kids starting a gang to be taken seriously' plot outline sounded funny to me but it was extremely boring. This was really bad. Really really bad.

Usually in movies you're supposed to care about characters but there aren't any in this movie who deserve it. The main character is stupid and you can tell he doesn't care about being in the movie at all not only by his awful acting but it seems like he can't even take his role seriously. His narration in it was so boring and poorly done that it just gets painful after awhile. Paris Hilton was disgusting and horrible in it. She actually gets slapped up by her boyfriend and that was probably the only enjoyable part in the entire movie. There are police officers in it who are wearing boy scout uniforms for some odd reason (one of them gets killed by one of the "thug ganstaz").

Everything about it was extremely amateur; camera work, script, direction, acting, and editing. A lot of scenes didn't make sense and were completely irrelevant to anything that was happening.

This was just painful to watch and don't waste your time. Don't pay to rent this disaster. It will just encourage them to make more movies which is not what we need. Someday this may have some novelty value and be so bad it's good, but for now it's just one of the worst films i have ever seen.

-15 out of 10.
