Fake Clouds is a thoughtful and beautifully realized short film about the fear and uncertainty of being raised in the nuclear era. The setting is a rural Pennsylvania farm house in the 1970's. The looming towers of a nearby Nuclear plant dominate the landscape and the pervasive, brooding tone of the film. The soundtrack was perfect for the atmosphere of the film as well. It conveyed an erie, dreamlike quality which added nicely to the film. I especially liked Ian Pape, the actor who played the young boy in the film. His range and depth of expression showed amazing maturity in so young an actor. If anyone knows of any other films he has done, please let us know.
