Hilarious and intelligent parody of bad seventies' disaster movies using tiny rubber latex puppets caught in the middle of a Californian earthquake. What brings it to life is the complex audio sound scape created by Brett and his sound designer Ben Young. They've taken an unbelievable amount of care with this, building it from basic sounds and the low rumble of the quake to a crazy crescendo so that you really get sucked into the whole feel. I saw this movie in the theater at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003 and the audience couldn't get enough of it. It won an award that year and I'm really not surprised - it's quite possibly the best two minute movie I've ever seen. It might even be the inspiration behind Team America...
