Downpour Resurfacing gives every viewer a raw, compelling look into the depths of pain any one of us has suffered and does something a lot of films fail to do, offer hope.
Told through the story of Robert Hall, this engaging film took me on my own journey of healing through meditative black and white visuals and Robert's wisdom. While so many documentaries cover the horrors of abuse and the trauma suffered thereafter, Frances Nkara brilliantly captures the heart and spirit of every one of us searching for a peace through the dark layers that can wrap and bound us tightly to the pain.
The filmmakers style is so fresh and engaging. I appreciated every minute of it. This piece is one everyone should own
.like a good book.
