The Silver Brumby is about a Brumby called Thowra, who lives a wild life with his his friends, Wombat, Boon Boon and the rest. He gets up to adventures to help save his friends from the evil hunters. I think the Silver Brumby is lively and fun, though I think the paintwork & backgrounds are a little dark. I wake up at 6:30 every morning to watch this show and have yet never got tired of it. It's story always seems to revolve around hunters and nearly getting captured. In a way the story lines are a little similar to Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron (my favourite film!!) The colt/mustang is wild, live in precious homeland, hunters are there, try to catch horses, main horse (Thowra, Spirit) tries to protect family/herd. I'm not trying to sound critical, it's just the way of the programme. I personally don't mind that type of thing I love it! I think the animation is wonderful. Also it's not that type of programme where you take one look at it and leave the room. It's funny, serious, heroic, and friendly. I especially love Currawong the bird, when he is always doing thing wrong!! Also when Arrow (Thowra's brother) tries to make out he's so tough when he's really a wimp!!! It's good for children because there is a friendly man, The Prospector, who always tries to help the animals so it's jolly in that sense. The Australian theme to it is great. I really love this programme and have all the DVDS to it. It's 10/10 for me (though I'm to old to watch it!!) It's great and I love the theme tune. Also Benni, the kangaroo (Narrator) helps you keep up with the story. It's excellent and is like the books (I have read all of them!!) So definitely a yes factor!
