Storyline

Dr. Goodwin, veterinary surgeon, is in love with Cissy Morgan. Her father, a rheumatic, objects to the doctor's attentions to his daughter. Mr. Morgan's horse is taken sick, and Dr. Goodwin prescribes for the much-valued animal. About the same time Mr. Morgan's attendant sends for an M.D. to visit his master, and prescribe for his ailments. The young veterinary hands the prescription for the horse to the servant with instructions to take him out in the open air, trot him about briskly, and rub him with Nag's liniment, give him a cold bath with the hose, wrap him with a blanket, and allow him to rest. The servant, supposing that the prescription is for his master, proceeds to put it in operation, with the assistance of two or three able-bodied stablemen. After this vigorous and strange treatment, Mr. Morgan finds himself so much better that he gives Dr. Goodwin his daughter's hand in marriage. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis
