Dated but extremely relevant today. More so than when it was written.
With the Harper governments embrace of the Bush Doctrine (summarized best as simply "He has the gold....", the Canadian Establishment is now engaged in a power grab with a boldness not attempted since the days of the robber-barons and corporate monopolies that crowned the Industrial Revolution. What is forgotten however is the class distinctions that were so rigidly preserved and protected by the state that only the Hindu caste system could rival the injustice due the inequalities rigidly enforced. What is forgotten are the 16 hr. workdays by ten year old children, slaves who returned to live as wage slaves because that was the best that society offered those without status. But now, with the encouragement of the US elite, the "Canadian Establishment" is back in the business of reasserting itself. You should know them and understand them. This film series is an essential backgrounder, with many players still alive today and insights into the successors of those who aren't.
