This short is based on three myths. The purpose of this short is to show how the rain forest is intertwined with the ecology of the planet and with humanity.
There's an incredibly resourceful turtle which plays a flute and is a trickster. One of the stories is reminiscent of a Bugs Bunny and Cecil Turtle short, but with a darker message.
The animation is in the style which Hubley Studio used for a number of years and the cartoon is beautiful. Message shorts are hit and miss, but this short is interesting enough without the message. Dizzy Gillespie does some voice work.
This short is available on the DVD The Hubley Collection Volume 1 and is well worth seeking out.
