Actually, the story itself is nothing spectacular, what deserves a perfect score is the attempt: the story is totally fabricated. Previous Chinese war movies are based more or less on the actual events and not very many dared to venture into the completely fictitious war story arena despite the fact that the governmental had already abolished such restrictions. This film is one of the first to do so in the war movie arena, following the footsteps of the martial arts flicks
