The literal translation of the title of this movie is: The adventure of the master and his servant.
This movie is classified as a thriller, but it would be even better if classified as a thriller/war movie, because it is about fighting a war. This movie, like most other Chinese war movies, are based on the true story that really happened. (Most Chinese thrillers are developed from Chinese war movies and consequently inherit this characteristic of adopting true stories in real life).
It is interesting to know what happened afterward: the money was used properly after being delivered, so there was more to follow, and eventually, many oversea Chinese who did the delivery joined the guerrilla and stayed in China, such as the protagonists in this movie, who did the same after several similar trips. What they did not expected was the political turmoil in the post revolutionary era in which many died in the ruthless political persecution, and the master in this movie was one of the victims, he was struggled to death in the Cultural Revolution.
