The only thing good is the the fighting scene
Although this movie was based on the true story that really happened, the reality was far more sinister than what is depicted here: The sad fact is that those so-called anti-Qing heroes were no other than a bunch of bandits, who used anti-Qing struggle as a slogan and an excuse for their illegal activities, such as smuggling, looting, racketeering and murdering, etc., but then again, it was exactly the thugs like these who helped Dr. Yat-Sen Sun to overthrow the Qing Dynasty as his main military strength. (this is why China was soon in chaos after Dr. Sun's revolution).
Since Dr. Sun is revered by the communists, his thugs turned revolutionaries are portrayed as heroes, even for the era before they joined the revolution, and this governmental censorship altered the history is a very sick way of distorting the truth, and the only thing about the movie is the fighting scene.
