With an important omission, the bloody fight at the marketplace.
What was intentionally left out in this movie was that the guards died and their weapons were picked up by the escapees, who opened fire once they were intercepted by the police when they reached the marketplace in the nearest town.
This bloody scene was deleted due to censorship because the government did not want to expose the problem in the law enforcement: by law, Chinese police officers are not armed, but according to the law, they are also supposed to catch criminals to protect the public at all costs, but when the criminals are armed, such confrontation would obviously has bloody result.
