History teacher "Stormin'" Norman Warner is held with great reverence at Fallbrook Middle School, he voted Teacher of the Year by its student body forty-three years in a row. His son, current Biology teacher Matt Warner, does not hold that same reverence by the students, who view him as a stick in the mud. After Norman's passing, Matt, who received a few words of wisdom from his father before he died and who has always felt in his father's shadow, nonetheless feels the burden of keeping the Warner winning streak of Teacher of the Year alive. His task is made all the more difficult of the hiring of Michael D'Angelo, a Fallbrook alumnus, as its new History teacher. Quickly given the catchy moniker "Mr. D" by all at the school, Michael captures the imagination not only of the students but of all the other teachers, that is except Matt, who uses all his energies to discredit Mr. D and his methods. Mr. D is using a microwave to heat up a Moon Pie. In one shot, his left hand is holding the microwave door open; then we switch to another shot where the door is closed and he presses the following buttons: 1, 5, START. The next shot is a continuation of the first, where we see him holding the microwave door open. Also, depending on which shot you want to use for when the microwave actually started, it runs for either 7 or 9 seconds, not 15. See more »

Wow! I watch a lot of movies and generally I choose movies based on the actors...Ryan Reynolds is an amazing actor and although I had not previously seen advertising for this movie, when I spotted it at the video store I went with it. What a great choice, not what I expected...so much better than that! I would recommend this movie to anyone as it offers such insight into LIFE all the while laughing your @#$ off! Can't say anything other than truly AMAZING movie and not only did Ryan Reynolds make it worth watching but the entire cast was excellent right down to the characters who only had a few lines. My honest suggestion would be to make this your next rental, you won't be disappointed that you did!
