As the economic took off in China thanks to the reform introduced, one result was the great improvement of the transprotation: major transportation duties were shifted by the newly added truck fleet from the animal drawn wagons.
This movie honestly described the cultural shocks of the old teamsters and their adjustment to the new reality by describing the relationships of the animal drawn wagon teamster head and his daughter-in-law, who happened to be a truck driver.
