Diary of stranded American passengers on Sept. 11, 2001.
2 January 2005 | by (Pickering, Ontario, Canada) – See all my reviews

This documentary shows the bonds that join Americans and Canadians, highlighted by the events of Sept. 11th, 2001. During a time of emergency, when U.S. air space was closed, ordinary Canadians do extraordinary things to make the passengers of airliners forced down in Canada, feel welcome.

It shows the human elements involved in their enforced stay, and follows some of the passengers and crew of the jets as they return to visit their hosts, most of whom live in places that they'd never heard of before September 11th.

If you've ever wondered why Canada and the U.S. are such good neighbors, watch this documentary. It might help to have a tissue handy.
