The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Battle of the Interception at Black Mountain.
This film depicts the communists interception of nationalist reinforcement at Black Mountain at Black Mountain during the Liao-ning/ Shen-yang Campaign in the Northeastern China, but since the communist commander in charge was Field Marshal Lin Biao, who later tried to assassinate Mao in 1971, the film was consequently banned during the Cultural Revolution after the failed coup.
