The literal translation of the title of this film is Black Flag special envoy.
For the historical facts, the Black Flag army was another peasant uprising, which was not part of Taiping Rebelling, although both peasantry armies did cooperate with each other in the fight against Manchu rulers. But then again, the story is fake and we should not pay to much attention to historical details unless the film is a documentary or docudrama.
