L.A. TV news anchor Diana Downs is replaced by younger colleague Amber Sullivan. Findind nobody hires a 'dinosaur' of 45, she gets a complete make-over, including sports car and plastic surgery, which she always loaded as shallow. She cuts her CV accordingly and moves in with her daughter, whose career means her hunky husband, Tom, has to suspend his to mind their two kids. Thus she becomes rival station boss Hilton March's secretary and tries using female charms too for a change. Opportunity knocks when the weather man is indisposed.
