A good solid case for Wexford and Burden to investigate.

As a two parter I enjoy An Unwanted woman very much, it's a real mix of light heartedness and down right nastiness, it's lighter moments are engulfed in blackness and some really black, sinister moments. The story translates very well from the book, one I thought that would have been difficult to televise is arguably one of the best offerings.

Madeline Christie is absolutely delightful as Ivy Wrangton, when you read the book, she is is exactly as you picture her to be, strong willed, plucky and stubborn. Susan Wooldridge is very fine too as Hilary, love the one earring look.

Some might say it's a little dated, and perhaps that's fair to say, but there is so much going on to keep your attention, different threads which all link up well, full of intrigue, with an ending you perhaps wouldn't be expecting, all in all this is a very watchable production.

It just goes to show, you never can tell who is guilty of doing the most wicked of things.

A very good concluding episode, 8/10.
