Storyline

The continuing adventures of the barbers at Calvin's Barbershop. Gina, a stylist at the beauty shop next door, is now trying to cut in on his buisness. Calvin is again struggling to keep his father's shop and traditions alive--this time against urban developers looking to replace mom & pop establishments with name-brand chains. The world changes, but some things never go out of style--from current events and politics to relationships and love, you can still say anything you want at the barbershop. Written by Sujit R. Varma

Goofs

When Alderman Brown and the TV crew enter Calvin's barbershop, the red 'tally' light on the front of the camera is flashing, so is the warning light on the rear left. Flashing red indicates either a low battery, slack tape or internal humidity. It can also mean 'running up to speed' but any cameraman worth his weight would already be turning over BEFORE he enters the shop, not during. See more »

First was Better
6 February 2004 | by (Texas, USA) – See all my reviews

Although I thought this movie was really funny the first was still better. It was wrapped around more controversy. Also this movie was made for Cedric. He is the central point of the movie. Not that I mind b/c he is a great comedian. Queen Latifah was very underused but it seems that she has her own barber/beauty movie coming out so that will make up for it. I also like the fact that the Barbershop movies talk about real problems with the way society thinks about things. This movie is good and needs to be watched. I own the first and will own the second.
