'Ray' talker finds a Chum in Canada

TORONTO -- Canadian broadcaster Chum Ltd. on Wednesday said that it has picked up Rachael Ray, King World Prods.' upcoming talker from Food Network star Rachael Ray, for its fall schedule. Toronto-based Chum said it acquired the one-hour talk show from distributor CBS Paramount International Television for its daytime schedule, beginning in September. Ray already appears on Canada's Food Network channel, where such series as 30-Minute Meals, $40 a Day and Tasty Travels do impressive numbers. Ray's New York-based talk show is produced by King World in partnership with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Prods., Scripps Networks and Watch Entertainment. »
