The literal translation of the title of this film is: The Rhythm of Fighting the Drought
This movie is based on the true story of the real life and gives an accurate depiction of how peasants had successfully fought the drought. However, the movie is not complete because there is something it dared not to mention: The cause of the drought, which is the direct result of Mao's disastrous Great Leap Forward political movement during which trees were cut down and the natural environment was shattered.
