This is a boring instructional film from the middle of forties (Simmel Meservey Productions) that teaches how to act (and not to act) for a festive dinner. It shows faults and errors and warns us against them. There is a small company of young friends round the table and nicely self-conscious hostess whose birthday is been celebrating (the cake is indeed splendid). Camera is very static, actors are stony (the director of photography is Harry F. Burrell). It seems that all the eaters are afraid of doing mistakes and no one enjoys his meal. There is no witty scenes, no charm and even no unmeant humor. I was disappointed with this briefing.
