Eddie Lyons returns from college. His father, Fred Gamble, tells him he's a partner in his plumbing business. Eddie shows up late the next morning, dressed in a morning suit, but father tells his master plumber, Lee Moran, to teach him the business from the ground up.
If you've ever had to hire plumber and had everything go wrong -- which is generally why you'd hire a plumber in the first place -- then you won't find any surprises here. Moran has all the funny business, as the lazy, pinochle-playing guy who knows how to do everything and instructs Lyons in how not to do it. Priscilla Dean is present for window dressing.
The copy from the Library of Congress is missing its beginning, but the movie appears essentially intact.
