The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

In one scene, two characters become very passionate and watch each other as they remove individual garments of clothing (only their faces and shoulders are shown). Once both characters remove their underwear (nudity is implicit, but not really shown, all you really see are their bare sides and the sides of her breasts), the two kiss atop a mattress . There is some brief mention of "love making" during their embrace.

In a later scene, two characters take off each others clothing, including the woman's top, in which we see a see her breasts and a nipple for a couple of seconds. As he places her on a bed, he removes her stockings and leans in to kiss her. You can hear the girl breathing heavily but the music playing is in the fore. In the deleted scenes, an extension of this scene is shown and it is even more graphic.

A girl pulls down a boys pants but it is as a joke to humiliate him (no nudity).

We see a woman's bare breast when she gets out of bed.

Some strong passionate kissing in the movie.

Several men are naked during an army physical exam, cupping their genitals with their hands (no nudity is shown)

A woman sits on her porch naked, painting (her bare back and breast are shown)

A man's bare buttocks are partially visible as he sits on a bed.

A man grabs and holds a woman's breasts (with her clothes on) while they kiss.

Violence & Gore

A woman slaps, hits, and shoves a man whenever she is upset with him. There are also some war scenes, as well as a scene where a soldier is severely injured on the battlefield. Generally speaking, though, the film is not violent or gory at all, and these can be categorized as brief "thematic elements".

Profanity

Contains a few uses of language (i.e. S.O.B, G.D).

Characters can be seen drinking and/or smoking in some scenes. The plot does not place any emphasis on this.

There is a brief war scene with some explosions, which some viewers may find startling/frightening. There isn't much gore, but a character does die in this scene with his eyes wide open.

There is a recurring theme involving mental illness. A woman who suffers from dementia is restrained by doctors and nurses in one scene and sedated while her husband watches helplessly.

A woman is driving while crying and in obvious distress. She almost crashes into a truck, but she dodges it just in time.

A man is injured while fighting in the war. A young nurse takes care of him in the hospital. He has many bandages all over his body, and his face is entirely black and blue.

A main character is rushed into emergency care and nearly dies. There are many hospital scenes throughout the movie.

Allie and Noah are found dead at the end of the movie, holding each other's hands. A nurse reaches out to touch them and presumably finds that their skin is cold.
