Outrageously Funny

Johnny Bravo is a vain, male chauvinist who thinks he is God's gift to women. With his Elvis sounding voice, tall blond hair, large biceps, Black T-shirt and dark shades, Johnny assumes he can lure any woman and make them fall in love with him. Big mistake as in the show, the women dislike his attitude and think he is a complete moron, so much so that one of them pepper sprays him in the eyes and another judo throws him to the floor. However, all is not lost as he has his mother and a little girl named Susie for company.

The animation is good, not to mention the story lines as well and the dialogue is very funny. The so-called pilot is one of the funniest episodes and features a pink-yet camp behaving gorilla! Jeff Bennett does a exceptional job voicing Johnny I wonder whether it was the creator's intention for him to sound like Elvis. Anyhow, it's a pity the series was short-lived, as it was one of Hanna Barberra's best shows around during that time.

Overall, Johnny Bravo is one of the best cartoons, particularly coming from an animation giant such as Hanna Barberra.

Warning: Spoilers
This is the old cartoon that made the TV series. Johnny Bravo, a greatly muscled and dumb macho promised a girl that he would bring back her gorilla. In the following of this short cartoon, the gorilla has a discussion with a bandit. The bandit says that the gorilla was a Big Fat Whale. And then the gorilla says three things to the bandit:

"Your mother is so big that when she puts her sandals she reaches the clouds!"

"Your face is so ugly that could make an onion cries!"

"You're fat!"

After that, Johnny finds the gorilla but the girl goes away after.

Great cartoon's cartoon

In 1995 cartoon network came up with "world premiere toons", such as "the powerpuff girls", "cow and chicken", and of course "Johnny Bravo" this guy is a male bimbo, with Elvis' haircut, Travolta's moves plus he is a graduate in all forms of martial arts except zumo, he's still studying it. The animation is pretty good, the plot is ok and the dialogs are great. I strongly recommend it. 10 out of 10
