Hyderabad, Jan 6: Telugu filmmaker Dharma Teja, who launched Uday Kiran with "Chitram" in 2000, said the late actor was a very passionate actor.
Uday committed suicide by hanging himself here Sunday, and the news of his death left Teja "speechless".
"Uday and I started our careers together with 'Chitram'. It was a very special film for both of us and we enjoyed its success together. He was a passionate actor and I sensed it a few days after we started working on our film," Teja told Ians.

Hyderabad, Jan 6: Telugu actor Uday Kiran committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling inside his house here Sunday night, police said Monday. He was 33.
"On late Sunday night, Uday Kiran was found hanging from the ceiling in his flat in Srinagar colony. His wife Vishita and some neighbours rushed him to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival," a police official told Ians.
Uday, who was born Jan 26, 1980, made his cinematic debut with Telugu romantic-drama "Chitram" in 2000. He went on to act in several successful films such as "Nuvvu Nenu" and "Manasantha Nuvve".

The controversy was appearing all set to blow up into a legal case as the next logical step would have been for Ramoji Rao to drag Kaushik to court. But then it is learnt that Satish Kaushik invited Ramoji Rao’s people to come and view his film before they knocked the doors of the court, as he had not pinched anything from Chitram. Rao’s lawyer and a senior person from his company flew to Bombay and saw Teree Sang three weeks back.
