Telemundo, i Net, NBC to air kids block
A multiplatform children's programming partnership between several networks and children's entertainment companies will debut with blocks on three networks in early September. Qubo will premiere Saturday, Sept. 9 on NBC and its sibling network Telemundo, then Friday, Sept. 15 on the i Network. The networks will each air a block of programming from Scholastic (Dragon), Classic Media/Big Idea (VeggieTales, Larry Boy: The Cartoon Adventures and VeggieTales Presents: 3-2-1 Penguins!) and Corus Entertainment's Nelvanna (Babar and Jacob Two-Two). Scholastic, Classic Media/Big Idea and Corus are all partners with NBC Universal and Ion Media Networks on the children's educational television initiative, which was announced in May.
