Parents Guide for
The Stepford Wives (2004) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A lot of sexual content throughout the movie. At the begining you see the sides of several ladies breasts. Throughout the movie women wear dresses and clothing that reveals a lot of cleavage.

During a stupid game show where spouses are separated and tempted by prostitutes, we see some muscular topless men and whores from porn films walk up in skimpy clothes and act sensually towards a married woman. At the end of the show, the woman leaves her husband and jumps on one of the male hookers.

Near the end the simulated chests of naked men and several women are seen. It is rather dark though, so it's a bit hard to see.

A man and woman are heard having sex, in which the wife is screaming some nonsense about how he's the king and at one point screams for ten seconds straight (she's brainwashed).

Two men are gay. One talks about Viagra and what good it did him.

Violence & Gore

Very little. During one scene a man shoots at a woman and breaks a huge pane of glass. The woman dives for cover and is unharmed.

A woman is electrocuted near the end.

Profanity

Very little profanity throughout the movie.

Many men smoke and drink throughout.

One or two brief intense scenes, including computer-programmed wives acting in bizarre and mechanical ways, and a group of men reveal a robot body to a woman, with the implied threat that it will replace her if she doesn't cooperate.

In another scene, a man's head is struck and knocked off, revealing him to be a robot.
