Maine Dil Tujhko Diya directed by Sohail Khan is a dumb movie.

Its a boring, agonizing movie.Watch it if you want to punish yourself! Story; A prominent and very wealthy businessman named Mr. Varma (Kabir Bedi) lives a middle class life with his two daughters. The eldest one named Ayesha Verma (Sameera Reddy) is expected to marry Varma's friend and right-hand named Mr. Chopra (Dalip Tahil)'s son, Raman. Soon after Ayesha started to go to college and is attracted to Ajay (Sohail Khan). The two lovers spend beautiful moments together in college and elsewhere, one day Raman spot Ayesha and Ajay together at a rose day party and is jealous and so he complaints to Mr. Varma thereafter Mr. Varma decides to tests Ajay and see if he is ready to become his future son-in-law. But Ajay proves to be hot headed and so he and Mr. Varma became sworn enemies and he asks Ajay to move away from his daughter's life but Ajay does not obey and continues to reach Ayesha, Varma contact a notorious underworld Don, named Bhai-Jaan (Sanjay Dutt) and Ajay is told that after the 30 days of Ramadan, he is suppose to meet a violent death, and so Ajay is badly beaten up by his goons and is left virtually for dead on the outskirts of Bombay, but Ajay recovers and swear that he will marry Ayesha. Verma contacted the police and Ajay also receives another trashing from them but Ajay escapes and throws a challenge to Chopra and Verma that he will make Ayesha become his bride within 24 hours and will strive hard to fulfill his promise. Along with the help of the college principal and students Ajay and Ayesha is finally married after a big blast with the enemies.

What I enjoyed in this soulless, dull movie was Sanjay Dutt!

He is the only one who made me smile in this movie.

The direction, performances, script and music are bad.

All in all,Maine Dil Tujhko Diya is a soulless, boring, agonizing movie.I am giving it a zero on ten.Watch if you want to punish yourself!

Save for Sanju, this movie is sheer disappointment

Its one of those typical stories with mainstream dialogues and action topped with lousy acting. Most the movie is difficult to watch. Even the action scenes are exaggerated and acting is dull. The only decent thing to come out of this movie is Sanjay dutt's mafia role. He has played his character incredibly well and is the reason I'm giving 5 stars

Debut of Sohail Khan

Sohail Khan started off as a director with Auzaar which was a flop, then later followed by his only success Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and then a dud Hello Brother(1999) In 2002 he launched himself in Maine Dil Tujhko Diyaa, Those days Salman was going through a bad phase himself. Sohail Khan repeats the same formula in first half of PKTDK, The focus is on college comedy and romance, Sohail Khan in his 30s and with his bulky frame despite his physique looks odd as a college student. But then even Sallu played a college student in PKTDK. So that Sohail can show his muscles he introduces drama(age-old), rivalry and action Near Interval he introduces Sanjay Dutt in the film who plays a gangster, who favours romance as his brother had committed suicide. What follows is typical vendetta fare. There are some good moments like the clash between Sohail and Sanju at times is good The climax is prolonged and there is overdose of blood spill.

Direction by Sohail Khan is below average, he resorts to age old stuff to carry the story forward, though he does handle some scenes well Music by Daboo Malik is good, Thoda sa Pyaar is the best song, while Tana Tana is good too

Sohail Khan looks bulky, has a terrible dialogue delivery but does act well in many scenes, Sameera Reddy is terrible in her debut, her voice irritates. Sanjay Dutt in a small role is good in his part. Amongst rest Kabir Bedi is adequate, Rajpal Yadav does well in a gangster role but does overdo it too often, Sarfaraz Khan is good Eiyaz Khan and others are okay.

what the crap type of movie. it is the debut of leading hero in this film but he was also the producer & director in this movie that was a great mistake of his all life . the film was bombed at box office it was quit reasonable because it contains no story in this movie . I am saying you simply that there is no villain in this movie but the hero of the movie is real villain he thrushes every guy in his way beat everyone who talks with him & I still hope that he enjoys it so well the leading lady has no work in this movie along the to play love game with hero . our hero is the relative of superman & batman & iron man also . I hope so you can understand that what type of amazing movie it is I have no complaint but one that why IMDb has no negative ratings
