There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50 miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. As movie premises go, this one is absolutely ridiculous, right? You'd have been forgiven for thinking so, at least, as few involved with Jan de Bont's "Speed," which was released by 20th Century Fox on June 10, 1994, could have anticipated its popularity. The film was a runaway hit, winning two Oscars and grossing over $350 million worldwide. Now, 20 years later, it's a celebrated relic of an era before blockbuster filmmaking was so awash in digital wizardry, an era when practical movie magic sold the highest of concepts to the masses. Bad titles aren’t a big deal. You can have a bad title and still be a great movie. Just look at Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Or The Shawshank Redemption, which appears on as many lists of the worst titles of all time as lists of the greatest movies of all time. Typically, though, a bad title is assigned to a bad movie. It’s not really a coincidence, either, as a bad title is a good sign of a bad production overall. It’s a first impression of a total failure on all creative levels. The Voice first live show tops Saturday ratings with 6.21m on BBC One

The Voice UK topped the ratings for its first live show of the current series, according to overnight data.

An average of 6.21 million (27.6%) tuned in to the quarter-finals of the BBC One singing competition from 6.45pm.

After a short break for the National Lottery, the show returned to announce the results of the public vote at 8.50pm, with 5.89m (27.6%) watching as four contestants were eliminated.

Afterwards on BBC One, Casualty's latest episode brought in 5.61m (29%) at 9.25pm.

On BBC Two, Don't Panic! The Dad's Army Story attracted 1.43m at 6.40pm, followed by an episode of the wartime sitcom at 7.30pm which entertained 1.75m (7.6%).

The Perfect Morecambe & Wise continued with 1.39m (6.1%) at 8pm, while history documentary The Plantagenets interested 1.16m (5.48%) at 8.30pm.

Over on ITV, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway continued to impress with 6.17m (26.9%) tuning in at 7pm, as well as an added 316k (1.4%) an hour later on ITV+1.

ABC Orders Female Sci-Fi Thriller Pilot From 'Tomb Raider' Writer

ABC is looking to add another female heroine to its ranks. The home to Scandal, Revenge and Once Upon a Time has picked up drama pilot Clementine, from Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life writer Dean Georgaris, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. From ABC Studios-based Mark Gordon Co. (Grey's Anatomy, Ray Donovan), the drama centers on a habitual criminal who digs into the mystery of her origins after she becomes the target of a group of zealots who fear she possesses latent supernatural abilities that she will one day harness for either profound good or monstrous evil.
