Even so, he walked away with $5 million and their daughter... and Alexandra went to prison for five years. But she didn't waste a minute on self-pity and despair. Instead, Alexandra studied law and earned her degree. Now, she's out on parole, back in San Francisco, fighting to clear her name and - most of all - searching for her missing daughter, Mia. And when Alexandra lands a job at a law firm, it isn't long before things get interesting. As a paralegal for dashing mover-and-shaker Attorney Hamilton Whitney, Alexandra proves she has a remarkable gift for getting at the truth and bringing the bad guys to justice. Written by

Elizabeth Lackey is Alexandra DeMonaco. She is a mom who was imprisoned for her husband's medical insurance scam. Meanwhile, he walked away with $5 million and their daughter.
While in prison, she studied law and earned her degree. After 5 years in prison, she's out on parole, back in San Francisco, fighting to clear her name and - most of all - searching for her missing daughter, Mia.
Desperate in need of a job, she works Attorney Hamilton Whitney (Richard Thomas) as a paralegal. This is a crime procedural which each episode she uses her smarts to solve a case, and hunt for her husband.
Both the lead actors are great. They are very compelling in these roles and have great chemistry together. Sadly stuck on PAX, this never had a chance to get an audience and only lasted for 1 year.
