Kevin Hooks is THE MAN!, 6 August 2003
Author: joesorce from Boston

This is one movie that I didn't want to see remade. But I must admit that Kevin Hooks did a fine job sticking to the storyline of the book...and the casting is excellent. While the original 1972 version of "Sounder" will stay in my heart forever, I am glad that this new adaptation brought the story to lots of young kids via television.
